Evidence standards
Front, reverse, signature, inscriptions, labels, seals, support, frame, condition, anomalies, tells and provenance are treated as separate evidence categories before a conclusion is formed.
Company
Founded by Roy S., ConfirmArt brings more than twenty years of art-market and artwork research experience into a modern case workflow for collectors and professionals.
Founder
ConfirmArt is designed for clients who need a serious record rather than an informal opinion: collectors, heirs, galleries, dealers, auction houses, restorers, framers, lawyers, estate managers and cultural institutions.
The platform combines expert review, structured intake, report verification and selective AI support for bounded research tasks while keeping the authentication case as the central human-reviewed product.
Methodology
The report format is designed to preserve the path from the object itself to the conclusion: photographs, physical description, signature or inscription review, comparative images, historical context, provenance and bibliography.
Public samples show report structure and selected evidence through page images, without exposing native PDFs or private source folders. Private reports remain controlled by the client.
Front, reverse, signature, inscriptions, labels, seals, support, frame, condition, anomalies, tells and provenance are treated as separate evidence categories before a conclusion is formed.
The report structure preserves the path from observation to reasoning: object description, visual and technical evidence, comparative material, bibliography and limitations.
Client files, unpublished documents and private commissioned reports remain controlled by the client. Public samples are selected and prepared separately.
Published samples use QR verification and stable report codes so the public page can be checked without exposing the private source report.
Client images, documents and case material are handled as sensitive information.
Reports are written so non-specialist owners can understand what was reviewed and why.
Claims are supported by documented observations, references and comparative material.
Limitations
Image search, frame recommendations and restoration triage can support a case, but they are not final authentication opinions. ConfirmArt separates preliminary assistance from signed, documented report work.
ConfirmArt does not base verdicts on AI classifier authentication. Such systems can be misled by synthetic variations of known works and by statistical similarity detached from object history. AI remains useful for searches, bibliographic discovery, document tracking, charts and provenance cross-checking, but not as the final authority.
Any conclusion depends on the quality of submitted photographs, access to the reverse, provenance records, comparative material and the limitations stated in the final report.
Authentication intake
The intake can begin with only an email. Photographs, documents and provenance can be added when available.
Start a private case
Only your email and service selection are needed to submit the request. Optional images, dimensions and notes can be added now or later.
Payment is requested only for the Authentication report. Catalogue search, advisory, restoration and local inspection requests are reviewed first so the scope can be confirmed.
Authentication is a human expert review. ConfirmArt may use AI for bounded research support such as database, image, book or provenance searches, but not as a classifier verdict.
